Vocabulary

Latitude: are imaginary  lines  that run west to east across the earth. 

Equator:the equator is a imaginary line that runs at 0 degrees latitude.

Tropic of Cancer: this parallel line of latitude  runs 23 north of the equator.                                                                                                   Tropic of Capricorn:the parallel line of latitude that runs 23 south of the equator.

Hemisphere:You know how fractions are?1 whole,half,and quarters,thats what the hemispheres are cut up into.

     Northern:Northern hemisphere is the Northern half of the Equator.(No wonder they call it the northern hemisphere.)

     Southern:Well,take a swing at the answer for this,North= Up.South=?Southern Hemisphere.

     Western:You know those annoying "Best Western"commericals they show?It should be Best Western Hemisphere.
